Terms of Use
Last updated 10 October 2026. Mayday isn't available yet; this describes how it will work at launch.
These terms are between you and Denys Lebiediev, who operates Mayday. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the app.
What Mayday does and doesn't do
- Mayday alerts the people you choose, with a link to your live location.
- Mayday is not an emergency service and doesn't contact emergency services. If you're in danger, call your local emergency number.
- Delivery is best effort. Networks and providers can delay, filter or lose messages and emails; location can be inaccurate, especially indoors; a phone can run out of battery or signal.
How alerts reach your contacts
- Mayday alerts: a message that someone who added you as a trusted contact needs help, with a link to their live location, and a message when they're safe.
- Consent: you get them only after you accept an invitation on Mayday's page and choose email, WhatsApp or Telegram.
- How often: only when someone you accepted sends an alert or misses a check-in. Never marketing.
- To stop: use the link in any Mayday email, reply STOP on WhatsApp, or send /stop on Telegram.
- Help: hello@denyslebiediev.com.
- Alerts someone sends from their own Messages app come from their phone, not from Mayday's servers.
Using Mayday
- Only add people who know you and agree to be contacted.
- Don't use Mayday to harass anyone, to send false alerts, or to contact people who haven't agreed.
- Keep your phone charged, and send a test alert after setup.
Subscriptions
- Mayday Pro is billed by Apple. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings; Apple handles refunds.
- Sending an SOS alert never requires a subscription.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Mayday is provided “as is”, and we aren't liable for harm caused by delayed or failed alerts, inaccurate location, or networks and services we don't control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
